I did end up posting the Christmas EP on the site - it's too good not to share with everyone! Please make sure to download the digital booklet as well and enjoy the awesome photography of Philip Douglas Gilston.

What We're Doing
Here are some updates for you!
1) Our album is literally on its way to digital distribution right now and should be out around beginning-to-mid-January!
2) I'm putting the finishing touches on a little freebie christmas EP thing for our friends. It won't be posted on the site, so if you want it now would be a really good time to somehow become one of our friends
3) We've done a couple of nice remixes for other people (I know! Peroxide Mocha! Remixing!) and those should be on their way out the door soon, or possibly later, or not at all.
Love,
Pete

The album is DONE
Holy wow. I can't believe that the album is actually done. Like, I mean, done done. And all official and everything. Rachel and I have literally been working on this one for a little over three years total. No matter how many other things I've had going on over the last 3 years, this album has always been on my mind as my #1 priority and now I'm sitting here with all the mastered tracks in-hand, which sound amazing (thank you Jeremy!), all our songs are now published (Hot And Awkward Music/Unicorn Factory, ASCAP, for those keeping track), I've licensed our cover tune (a surprise!) and the cover art is finished. It is literally COMPLETED and the only thing I have left to do is review it all one last time, then set up the album with CDBaby tonight, and drop it in the mail.
Wow.
Wow.

I had a really, really good idea for a blog post this morning, but now I can't remember what it is.

Ashley Simpson
In case you missed it, Ashley Simpson just had a baby boy. Then at some point, when she was holding her new little bundle of joy, she looked down on her beautiful baby and said: "I'm going to name him Bronx Mowgli Wentz."
...
Here are my suggestions for baby names, in case you might be shopping around for one and want to show the world how much cooler you are than Ashley Simpson:
Peepee McGee
Des Moines Simba Putz
Kansas Rules
Randy O'Funkinstein
Skeletor
Gassy Oldguy
Manhattan Clam Chowder
Please! Feel free to use any or all of these when naming your baby. Remember, it's not about the child, it's about YOU being CREATIVE.

Excellent tunes!
Lo-fi, home-made electro-pop music made by girls on laptops is the best music on the face of the earth. This is what I want to hear when I go out dancing.
Ear Candy - http://www.myspace.com/earcandy
My friend Kate gave me a copy of their CD "Chante La Femme" many years ago and its been in my top 10 favorite albums ever since then - good luck trying to buy a copy though :( Maybe some day they will release it in iTunes so you can all hear the brilliance of Lady Bon Bon's tales of alien abductions and eating wild rice & peaches.
Leslie Hall - http://www.myspace.com/lesliehall
The irony of Leslie Hall is that underneath the gold pants and gem sweaters, and when she's not trying to sing all crazy on purpose, homegirl has some serious flow and a decent voice to boot ("Blame the booty"). "Zombie Killer" is another favorite with a really nice 90's throwback piano house line. She's 100% more interesting and entertaining than any major label pop concoction. She is a true pop star.
Team Gina - http://www.myspace.com/teamgina
I saw Team Gina live at a fashion show on Capital Hill on Seattle where most of the audience bailed after the fashion was over, and one of their microphones cut out, which was a huge bummer because Team Gina are adorable and energetic and have some DEVASTATING BASS while rapping about the politics of dating lesbians and playing Oregon Trail.
The Hazzards - http://www.myspace.com/thehazzards
Ok, not really electro but still seriously super cute and fun pop - You've probably heard "Gay Boyfriend", one of the defining anthems of our generation. Songs about temping and girl beer! This band has done wonders for my favorite instrument ever, the Cassio SK-1.
I'm sure there are more I can't think of but that is a good start!

I really like cheese
Did you know...?
I live in a house with no heat. Yes! It is true. No heat. Just a sad little woodstove.
So, when I came home to a freezing house and a hungry grandpa, I decided the best food I could make in such a situation would be chili. YES. Unfortunately, not only do we not have heat, we're also out of milk, tomato sauce, cheese, crackers, and all the dishes are dirty.
Short story long, I just made chili with tomato bits and corn. It was surprisingly delicious, but now I'm very thirsty. Thank god we have well water.
